About the photographer

Jeramey James is the photographer behind Tolowa Gallery. The gallery is a Native American-owned fine-art photography practice built from an original field archive made across Africa, Australia, the Pacific Northwest, and other places encountered over years of travel.

The work is not generated imagery and it is not a stock-image catalogue. Each proposed edition starts with a photograph made by Jeramey, then is selected, developed, proofed, and reviewed for print quality before it can enter the gallery.

Tolowa Gallery is being built to keep that chain of authorship visible: from the original capture through the final print, with collection context and production facts attached to every released work.
